Dneprospetsstal production results in June

Ukrainian metallurgical company Dneprospetsstal (DSS), a leading producer of long-range stainless steel in Ukraine and the CIS, announced a 9.8 percent decrease in steel production in June 2015 to 21,357 tonnes compared to the previous month of this year. At the same time, the production of rolled steel for the month decreased by 0.6 percent to 14381 tons. However, the total cost of manufactured products during June 2015 reached UAH 663,463 thousand, which is 4.5 percent higher than the level of the previous month.

During the first six months of this year, Dniprospetsstal's steel production was 124,168 tonnes, down 10.6 percent year on year, while rolled steel production was 80,307 tonnes, down 9.3 percent over the same period last year.

Dneprospetsstal is an international company that develops and manufactures metal products from stainless, high-speed, bearing, tool, structural carbon and alloy steels, including those made by powder metallurgy.

For the production of soybeans, the plant uses technologies that make it possible to produce high-quality steels and alloys, which are widely used in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, as well as in such critical industries as aerospace and oil and gas production. The metal baked by the enterprise is used to produce parts of mechanisms and machines, bearings and seamless pipes, tools for metalworking.
