Trubodetal plant named the winner of the industry competition

The Trubodetal plant (Trubodetal, Chelyabinsk, part of the United Metallurgical Company, OMK, Moscow) became the winner of the XII industry competition High Social Efficiency Mining and Metallurgical Complex Enterprise in 2014 in the nomination Environmental protection and resource conservation ”.

In addition to the Chelyabinsk Trubodetal plant, another enterprise that is part of OMK received a diploma. The Vyksa Metallurgical Plant (Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region) was named the winner in the Health Protection and Safe Working Conditions nomination.

“At the Trubodetal plant, as well as throughout the United Metallurgical Company, great attention is paid to protecting the health of employees and maintaining a favorable environmental situation in the regions of presence, these are one of our main values. The victory in the competition only confirms this fact ”, - said Andrey Korotkov, Managing Director of the Trubodetal plant.

The competition is held by the Association of Industrialists of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union. The winners are awarded in five nominations, including “Social and economic efficiency of the collective agreement”, “Health protection and safe working conditions”, “Environmental protection and resource conservation”, “Personnel development” and “Work with youth”.

The Trubodetal plant has already become the winner of the competition “Enterprise of the mining and metallurgical complex of high social efficiency” at the end of 2012 in the nomination “Working with youth”.
