Technical re-equipment continues at Krasny Oktyabr

Red October, a renowned manufacturer of special-purpose steels for various industries, aims to maintain its leading position in this sector by installing unique BOSIO furnaces.

At the sheet metal finishing section of the sheet-rolling shop (OOLP) and in the metal rolling finishing shop (TsOMP), work continues on the installation of BOSIO furnaces. A low-temperature annealing furnace and two forced-cooling furnaces are being prepared for commissioning at the CPMP. OOLP is currently installing two thermal annealing chamber furnaces with a protective atmosphere, type PP KZA 26/900. Krasny Oktyabr is the first enterprise in the world, with the exception of the manufacturing company itself, where such equipment will be installed.

Two PP KZA 26/900 ovens are partially assembled. Now the specialists of the plant and the BOSIO company are assembling the recuperator valve systems. In addition, the chimney foundation is already being prepared for two thermal hardening chamber furnaces of the PP-K 6/1200 type.

Note that the next step in the OOLP is work on the installation of two thermal chamber low-temperature furnaces of the PP KV 26/650 type. The maximum temperature in the working space of the ovens is 700 ° C. The mass of the furnace charge is 35 tons. Each PP KZA 26/900 furnace takes the same tons, with a maximum heating temperature of 900 ° C.

The furnaces are designed for the processing of rolled metal of carbon and stainless steel grades. The equipment will be equipped with high-speed impulse recuperative burners, which guarantee complete optimal combustion of fuel with obtaining the required temperature conditions, as well as efficient heat recovery from exhaust flue gases. Lining of modern refractory materials is provided. New furnaces are insured against emergencies thanks to an automatic thermal management system. In addition, the ingress of combustion products into the workshop atmosphere is excluded.

The work on the technical re-equipment of the workshop is also continuing at the TsOOMP. At the end of June, a trial setting and quenching was carried out on the equipment of the BOSIO thermal complex, the installation of which was completed by the very first in a series of equipping Krasny Oktyabr workshops with Slovenian furnaces.

Now the specialists of the shop, together with the experts of the supplier company, have completed the commissioning work: three new chamber furnaces have been prepared for commissioning - two furnaces with forced cooling and one for low-temperature annealing.
