The West notes the desire of Russian aviation to reach a new level

Запад отмечает стремление российской авиации выйти на новый уровень
In response to sanctions from the European Union, the Russian Aviation and Space Salon MAKS was particularly impressive this year, according to Western media outlets. In addition to its missile business with Iran, Russia hopes to strengthen its military-trade partnership with China to offset the losses of some of its partners.

Vladimir Putin's message is clear: he does not lend itself to Western sanctions, and therefore the MAKS exhibition this year surpasses all previous ones. Russia is proud of its fighters and no amount of sanctions can cast a shadow on Russian heavy industry, one of which is the aerospace industry. MAKS presented 150 foreign companies from 23 countries and 600 Russian companies at the airport in Zhukovsky near Moscow.

Fifteen companies from Germany attended, including Lufthansa Technik and SLM. Airbus and Boeing were presented in the same way. The number of Chinese exhibits has tripled from last year, aided by Putin's close military-trade partnership with China.

The main focus of the exhibition was on representatives from the Arab region. Everyone hopes for billions of dollars in orders from Saudi Arabia and Jordan. An Iranian representative came to finalize contracts for Russian missiles.

Within the framework of the exhibition, aircraft manufacturing companies signed contracts for the supply of various aircraft for more than $ 21.2 billion. Russia has also entered into deals, including a cost of 1.3 billion euros for the supply of 48 fighters.
