The average price of H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $ 210.83 per tonne, unchanged from the previous week. The average price in Pittsburgh was $ 209.50 per tonne and remained unchanged from last week's price. In Chicago, prices averaged $ 224.50 per tonne, flat compared to the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $ 198.50 per tonne. Prices here also remained unchanged from a week earlier.
Meanwhile, steel production in the last week of August fell 2.2 percent from the previous week. Output dropped 39,000 tons to 1.703 million tons for the week.
