Workshops BMZ set new records in August

According to the results, summed up at the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant in August 2015, two workshops of the enterprise have reached new production records. Mill 150 of the Section Rolling Shop (SOC) and Electric Steel Smelting Shop # 2 (ESPC-2) achieved maximum performance in their production activities in August.

ESPTs-2 steel output in August reached 76,878 tons, which is 834 tons more than the previous record set in March 2013. According to metallurgists, the achievement of high results ensured effective interaction of all services and divisions of the plant. All the metal produced by ESPC-2 during August was sent to a new small-section wire mill (SPC-2) and to a pipe-rolling shop for further production with high added value.

Mill 150 set a landmark production record of 51,200 tons of hot rolled steel. For the first time, the unit crossed the 50 thousand mark. The metal produced at the mill is sent for further processing in the metalware shops of BMZ and for export to Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Great Britain, Lithuania and Latvia.
