According to the latest statistics published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel output of 65 countries of the world that submitted data to the Association amounted to 132.220 million tons in August this year. Monthly production was down 3.1 percent year over year. These 65 countries accounted for approximately 98 percent of total global crude steel production in 2014.
