The US International Trade Commission has found indications that US manufacturers are suffering unfair imports of hot rolled flat products from seven countries and are continuing a process that could lead to the imposition of import duties.
AK Steel Corp, ArcelorMittal USA, Nucor Corp, USA Steel Corp, SSAB and Steel Dynamics Inc regularly file complaints about imported goods used to manufacture a wide range of products that were sold at too low a price or importers took advantage of unfair government subsidies.
This decision means that the Department of Commerce will continue to search for possible dumping of products from Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Korea and Turkey. Products from Brazil, South Korea and Turkey will also be evaluated for subsidies.
