During the 5th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the leading Russian pipe companies supplying their products to Gazprom signed a memorandum on the transfer of their vehicle fleets to NGV fuel.
The document was signed by JSC United Metallurgical Company, PJSC Pipe Metallurgical Company and JSC Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant.
Russian pipe manufacturers have pledged to provide the gas monopoly with information about plans to transfer the equipment in use to gas and the procurement of new gas engine equipment. Gazprom, for its part, will inform its partners about its plans to expand the gas filling infrastructure in the regions where pipe companies operate and, if necessary, adjust these plans.
Gazprom reminded that the company has adopted a program to convert its own vehicle fleet to natural gas. It is planned that the share of NGVs in the structure of the company's transport fleet in 2015 will be 30%, in 2017 - 50%, by 2020 - 70%.
