Energy blockade of Crimea is completed today

The activists allowed the specialists of Ukrenergo to repair the power line support through which electricity is supplied to Crimea.

As of October 12, electricity supplies to Crimea go through the 330 kV Kakhovka-Dzhankoy overhead line and the Kakhovka-Titan 220 kV overhead line, the energy supply company said, specifying that the peninsula's power supply is 200 MW below the total consumption demand.

Based on the results of negotiations, Vsevolod Kovalchuk, Acting Director of State Enterprise NEC Ukrenergo, convinced Lenur Islyamov, head of the public initiative for the blockade of Crimea, of the need to repair the damaged electrical support and admit repair personnel of State Enterprise NEC Ukrenergo to the scene.

As the company emphasized, the repair teams are provided with the necessary materials and equipment and are ready to carry out work to restore the damaged power transmission line support by the end of today.

“We call on all parties to the conflict to a civilized way of resolving the issue and warn against using inaccurate information,” they asked at Ukrenergo.

Let us remind you that the idea of ​​a blockade of Crimea from Ukrainian goods arose among activists at the end of September. Thus, representatives of the volunteer battalions and the Crimean Tatar people plan to resolve the issue of the occupation of the peninsula by Russian troops.

Explosive damage to the electrical support of the high-voltage line Dzhankoy - Melitopol was found on October 6 on the outskirts of the village of Chongar, Kherson region. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the situation in the region is completely under police control.

Nevertheless, on October 9, activists began to interfere with the repair of the damaged electrical support and announced the beginning of the "energy" blockade of Crimea.
