On October 14, China lost the right to appeal in a dispute with Japan and the European Union, in which Western countries complained about the PRC's use of anti-dumping duties on stainless steel pipes.
Thus, according to Reuters, the appellate body of the World Trade Organization sided with Japanese and European manufacturers, including Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp, Tubacex SA and Salzgitter AG.
