The Ukrainian government is unable to comply with the court decision on the payment of pensions in Donbass

According to the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Kiev will not be able to pay pensions in the occupied territory despite the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine (VASU) to unfreeze the payment of salaries, pensions and social benefits to residents of eastern Ukraine living in the ATO zone.

“We will ask the judges to get into cash collection vehicles and deliver funds to pensioners in the occupied territories,” the Glavkom online edition quotes Pavel Rosenko.

The official said that the decision of the VASU for the government of Ukraine will not have any consequences, since the Verkhovna Rada managed to amend the Budget Code, where, at the level of a direct rule of law, a ban on financing and payments of free budget transfers on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions was established until the moment, until the Ukrainian authorities are installed there.

“These are manipulations on the mountain of people who remained in the occupied territories. I have already announced that I propose to those MPs from the Opposition Bloc who are trying to promote themselves to get into cash collection vehicles and take the money there, ”said the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko.

Recall that on Friday, the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine upheld the decision to cancel the resolution of the government of Ukraine on freezing pensions, wages and social benefits to those who live in the ATO zone.

The head of the supervisory board of the Institute for Legal Policy and Social Protection of Ukraine, Irina Berezhnaya, in an interview with 112.ua TV channel, said that the decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine clearly spelled out the mechanism for its implementation.

“People should be transferred all their earned money to bank cards, and the person himself directly decides how he will use this money,” Berezhnaya explained.

“All statements that there is no way to physically deliver money to people are attempts to ignore and sabotage the court’s decision,” she stressed.

The restoration of all social payments on the territory of eastern Ukraine is a requirement of paragraph 8 of the set of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, approved by the leaders of the Normandy Four and signed by the members of the contact group on February 12, 2015.
