Ukraine dropped out of the top ten world leaders in steel production, moving to 11th place, giving way to the TOP-10 of Italy.
Nevertheless, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine increased their production in September by 14.1 percent to 2.061 million tons, according to the World Steel Association Worldsteel.
The top ten steel-producing countries in September are as follows:
China (66.120 million tons, down 3%),
Japan (8.573 million tons, down 7.3%)
India (7.261 million tons, down 1.4%)
USA (6.682 million tons, down 8.5%),
South Korea (5.615 million tons, down 2.7%)
Russia (5.528 million tons, down 3.2%),
Germany (3.379 million tons, down 3.9%)
Brazil (2.501 million tons, down 13%)
Turkey (2.489 million tons, down 14.1%)
Italy (2.083 million tons, down 3.9%).
According to the World Steel Association Wordlsteel, global steel production on Earth fell to 131 million tonnes in September, which is 3.7 percent less than in the APPD and exactly one million tonnes less than in the previous month.
In nine months, steel production in Asia decreased by 2 percent to 828.9 million tons; in the EU - by 0.3 percent to 127.5 million tons; in North America, steel production fell by 6.8 percent to 85.1 million tons, in the CIS countries - by 5.8 percent to 75.9 million tons.
