Saakashvili signed his own powerlessness in the fight against corruption in the Odessa region

The head of the Odessa regional administration believes that civil activists will cope with the capture of embezzlers, corrupt officials and other bandits better than the security forces.

Mikhail Saakashvili, on his Facebook page, urged residents of Odessa to form a committee for action against thieves and crooks, which will not allow further destruction and plunder of the city.

“Together we will put an end to the dominance of the oligarch-clan mafia and really turn Odessa into a clean city, clean of garbage, as well as bandits, embezzlers and corrupt officials, we will make the city budget transparent and will not allow stealing further, we will stop extortion from officials and extortions in our schools, we will return Odessa to the citizens of Odessa, ”wrote the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

Recall that in the last Sunday mayoral elections, Saakashvili actively supported the protege from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc (BPP) Alexander Borovik. However, the victory was won by the current mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, for whom, according to the Central Election Commission, 52.9 percent of Odessa citizens who took part in the elections voted.

According to Saakashvili, there were massive falsifications during the vote count.

"Today, the falsifiers of city elections, with the speed of" green men "have seized the Odessa mayor." - said the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

It is known that the financial and industrial group, whose protege is the current mayor Gennady Trukhanov, is affiliated with the structures of Igor Kolomoisky. When Saakashvili was appointed to the post of the head of the Odessa region administration, experts noted that the replacement of the Odessa mayor would be a top priority for him.
