PJSC "Zaporizhstal" supports the development of sports in the city

PJSC "Zaporizhstal" in the framework of social responsibility is systematically engaged in the support and development of sports and physical culture in the Zaporizhzhya region. For these purposes in 2015 the plant allocated UAH 14 million.

Among the areas of systemic support are the maintenance and development of the sports arena "Zaporizhstal" (UAH 10.3 million), the yacht club (UAH 1.7 million), support for sports organizations and leading athletes of the region, organization of events, training and competitions on the basis of the arena. level (about 2 million UAH).

Taking into account the fact that the sports complex of PJSC Zaporizhstal is the largest sports facility in the region for holding competitions of the all-Ukrainian and international scale, the plant consistently invests in its development. So, in 2015, the plant invested UAH 6 million to modernize the heating system of the arena and repair the roof of the building.

MK "Zaporizhstal" on an ongoing basis provides support to sports organizations in the region - on a free basis it provides an athletics arena for training sports school in athletics, athletes with disabilities "Invasport" and other sports organizations. In 2015, about 700 thousand UAH were allocated for these purposes. In addition, in 2015, the plant allocated funding for the organization of summer trainings, as well as rehabilitation measures for children-pupils of the Zaporozhye Regional Center for Physical Education and Sports of Disabled People "Invasport".

As a reminder, in April 2013 Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ukrainian Athletics Federation. The memorandum provides for the creation of the necessary material and technical base for training and high-level competitions in the sports arena, support for the leading athletes of the region. 2013-2014 PJSC Zaporizhstal allocated over UAH 21 million to support and develop sports, (2013 - UAH 8.5 million, 2014 - UAH 12.8 million), including within the framework of fulfilling the terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation with FLAU, the plant sent 7.2 UAH million (2013 - UAH 3.5 million, 2014 - UAH 3.7 million) for the modernization of the track and field arena
