At MMK named after Ilyich began the third stage of reconstruction of the sinter plant

The reconstruction of the gas cleaning equipment of the sinter plant of the Ilyich Mariupol Metallurgical Plant is proceeding according to plan. This was announced by the general director of the plant Yuri Zinchenko.

“Since yesterday, we have been carrying out a major overhaul of sinter machine No. 3. Together with its beginning, the third stage of reconstruction of the sinter plant has started,” the general director said.

“As with sintering machines No. 1 and 2, we will replace the gas cleaning of the sintering zone. We are planning to install a set of cyclones Hurriclone manufactured by the Italian company Termokimik - instead of the outdated battery cyclone and scrubbers. Our repairmen are dismantling the battery cyclone. At the same time, preparations are being made for dismantling the scrubber, and special equipment is being installed at the construction site, ”Zinchenko informed.

As of today, work has begun on the overhaul of sintering machine No. 3. Dismantling of old equipment is in progress, preparation for restoration measures. This unit will be modernized incendiary furnace, installed new burners, which have shown themselves well on sintering machines No. 1 and 2, and a microprocessor control system.
