According to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, enhanced security measures in connection with the terrorist attacks in Paris will be used for at least two weeks.
According to him, the French special services have established a connection between the perpetrators of the terrorist attack with people who are now in Ukraine.
“We received information about possible connections of Islamic terrorists with those who are in Ukraine, and yesterday I gave absolutely clear orders to work out risks and threats in cooperation with our foreign partners to protect peace and tranquility in Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
Earlier today, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov warned of possible terrorist attacks in the regional centers of the country and in the capital.
“According to the operational services, in the next few days we have to go through several attempts by destructive anti-Ukrainian forces to destabilize the situation in the country,” the official warned.
Zoryan Shkiryak, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, said that in the event of a terrorist threat, the security forces will shoot to kill.
