The newest small missile ships (MRK) of the Black Sea Fleet "Serpukhov" and "Zeleny Dol", which will soon become part of the missile boat formation, have arrived at their permanent deployment site in Sevastopol.
MRK Zeleny Dol and Serpukhov are the fourth and fifth ships of the modernized Buyan-M series built at the Zelenodolsk Gorky Shipyard. They have an increased displacement and are equipped with the latest Kalibr-NK long-range missile system.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russia launched Kalibr cruise missiles in the Mediterranean Sea from the Rostov-on-Don submarine against the IS capital city of Raqqa.
The performance characteristics of the Caliber missiles are classified information and are not publicly available. According to a number of reports, their range is from 2000 to 2600 km.
