Message from the Ukrainian billionaire Rinat Akhmetov on the International Volunteer Day

The main owner of the Dutch company Metinvest, which controls most of the Ukrainian mining and metallurgical enterprises, the only shareholder of the SCM group and the founder of the help fund for residents of eastern Ukraine "Let's Help" billionaire Rinat Akhmetov turned to volunteers on the occasion of the international Volunteer Day celebration on December 5.

Dear colleagues, dear friends!

International Volunteer Day is an international day of cordiality, an international day of love, an international day of warmth.

Volunteers always and everywhere respond to someone else's pain, rush to help.

And always and everywhere volunteers try to make their help systematic.

And always and everywhere, volunteers manage to provide this assistance, despite any difficulties.

You have a huge heart, great patience, great courage and great love for this, which is always enough for everyone.

Today I want to say a huge thank you to each of you - for what you have already done for the civilians of your native Donbass, the weakest and most defenseless - children, the disabled, the elderly. For what you continue to do every day for the future of our region and our country.

We will not leave anyone in trouble. We have helped, are helping and will help as much as necessary.

Our team this year has become not only stronger and stronger, but also dearer. We are a family.

And I am convinced that by joint efforts we will return peace and prosperity to our Donbass home. I believe this will definitely happen.
