Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed the fiscal service to close issues on VAT refunds by the end of the year

The Ministry of Finance and the State Fiscal Service were instructed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine to work out as much as possible the issue of closing the VAT debt by the end of the year. This was announced by Volodymyr Kolomiets, Sales Director of Zaporizhstal PJSC, who was fortunate enough to take part in a meeting of the Export Promotion Council chaired by Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

“We hope that these will not be just words, but a real solution to the problem,” he said.

The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of the central executive authorities, heads of domestic industry associations, unions and associations, industrial enterprises, representatives of international organizations.

The meeting participants confirmed the key role of Ukrainian industrial enterprises in the development of the country's export potential and filling the state budget. During the meeting, problems were voiced that require urgent solutions and regulation at the state level. In particular, they talked about the problem of automatic VAT refund, raising tariffs for railway transportation.

V. Kolomiets said that the metallurgical plant Zaporizhstal today is the second largest supplier of foreign exchange earnings and remains the largest exporter of Ukraine. At the moment, the state debt for VAT refunds to Rinat Akhmetov's plant is 727.9 million hryvnia, including overdue debt - 525.8 million.
