A freight train with iron ore derailed in the Lviv region. The accident occurred on the morning of December 13 at the Skole - Grebenov railway section. Five cars derailed, while two of them fell into the river.
According to the regional administration, the total composition of the train # 1615 on the route "Lvov-Chop" consisted of 48 wagons loaded with iron ore. As a result of the accident, 2 carriages fell from the railway bridge into the Opir River, 1 ran into the river bank and 2 went off the track. The contact line and about 250 meters of the roadway were also damaged.
As of the morning of December 14, 4 cars were lifted. Emergency teams of the Lviv Railway are working at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
