At OOO Sverdlovsk Machine-Building Plant (SMZ), a new directorate was presented - a temporary administration appointed by the authorities of Lugansk to resume the work of the enterprise. This was reported in the Lugansk Information Center (LITS).
According to the message, all members of the interim management are employees of the enterprise and have been elected by the decision of the labor collective.
According to the head of the temporary administration of the SMZ Oleg Drozdovich, the enterprise will be loaded with orders from those mines that operate today on the territory of the Luhansk region, controlled by the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).
To resume production, SMZ needs working capital and the new administration plans to sell the previously produced mining equipment located in the warehouses of the plant.
In the summer of 2012, Mining Machines, a member of Rinat Akhmetov's SCM, sold the Sverdlovsk machine plant to the Luhansk private enterprise UTEK.
According to the data of the PERSON, the new owner in 2013, due to the large wage arrears to the employees, left Ukraine and managed the enterprise through his intermediaries.
Since August 1, 2015, due to the lack of management and contracts for the production of products, the entire staff of the plant was forced to go on unpaid leave.
The Sverdlovsk Machine-Building Plant specializes in the repair of powered roof supports, attachments, and metal structures.
Luhansk authorities appointed Sverdlovsk machine plant administrators from among the employees
