During February 2017, Zaporizhstal produced 254.3 thousand tons of pig iron, 293.3 thousand tons of steel, 247.1 thousand tons of rolled metal.
The volume of production of pig iron in February of this year fell by 13.8 percent at an annual level. Steel production decreased by 9.2 percent for the year. Rolled steel production decreased by 12.9 percent compared to February last year
The decrease in production in February 2017, compared to the same period in 2016, is explained by the shutdown of blast furnace No. 3 in November 2016 for a large-scale environmental reconstruction.
From January to February 2017, 542 thousand tons of pig iron, 619.5 thousand tons of steel, 517.3 thousand tons of rolled products were produced, which is also lower compared to January-February 2016.
