In October, Ukraine plans to produce 2 million tons of steel

It is expected that in October the volume of steel production in Ukraine will be about 2 million tons, remaining at the same level as in September.

Steel production in Ukraine for the first nine months of 2017 decreased by 13.5% to 15.8 million tons at an annual level.

Steel production in 2016 increased to 24.2 million tonnes after a sharp drop in 2015 due to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, where most of the country's steel is produced.

In October, metallurgists can produce 1.9 million tons of pig iron and 1.7 million tons of rolled products. Most of Ukraine's exports are steel products, chemicals and agricultural products.
