Russia's largest steelmaker NLMK said on Monday that its output in the third quarter rose 8% year-on-year to 4.4 million tonnes.
The steelmaker, controlled by Russian billionaire Vladimir Lisin, also said its sales in the third quarter rose 1% on an annualized basis and in the third quarter to more than 4.2 million tonnes.
During the reporting period, there was an increase in production at the Russian plants of the company during the season of high market demand. At the same time, the capacity utilization of the plant in July - September increased to 100%. Group sales increased 1% to 4.24 million tonnes.
The group's sales in the domestic market grew by 7% and reached an all-time high of 2.87 million tonnes, driven by a 21% increase in sales in Russia.
