The prices for gas imports from Russia to Belarus are 40-50 percent lower than the sales prices for Russian gas on the German market and other European countries. Poland buys gas from Russia at about $ 280-290 per thousand cubic meters, which is more expensive than for Germany ($ 265-275 per thousand cubic meters), which means that Belarus buys natural gas from Russia about 50 percent cheaper than Poland.
Belarus has ratified the protocol on changing the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on the price of natural gas supplies to Belarus. The document, according to the Belta agency, regulates, in particular, issues related to gas supplies from Russia to Belarus in 2017-2019.
The Ministry of Energy of Belarus reported that the price of gas from Russia for Belarus from July 1 to December 31, 2017 is $ 144.54 per thousand cubic meters, in 2018 it will drop to $ 129 per thousand cubic meters, and in 2019 the eye will cost $ 127 per thousand cubic meters.
