DMK significantly reduced its output in 2017

The Dnieper Metallurgical Plant, which specializes in the production of cast iron, steel, rolled products and consumer goods, is part of the Industrial Union of Donbass Corporation (ISD). According to the results of production in 2017, DMK reduced the output of rolled products to 1.328 million tonnes, which is 32.3% lower than in 2016.

In 2017, DMK reduced steel production by 30.7%, to 1.363 million tons, and pig iron - by 31.7%, to 1.328 million tons. In December, DMK produced 233 thousand tons of rolled steel, 235 thousand tons of steel, 241 thousand tons of pig iron; in November, the output of rolled products amounted to 225 thousand tons, 237 thousand tons of steel, 232 thousand tons of pig iron.

This is due to the fact that the plant was idle from April to July 2017. DMK General Director Alexander Podkorytov, in his address to the employees, noted that in 2017 every effort was made to get the enterprise out of the forced downtime, to adjust the operation of the equipment in order to start production again.

In his New Year's address to the DMK team, it is said: “This gives me every reason to assert that the new tasks set for the metallurgists of the plant for 2018 will be successfully solved, the enterprise will work steadily, increase production, and expand markets for finished products.”
