The draft law "On shading the market for metallurgical raw materials" should not only eliminate corruption at different levels in the industry, but also ensure industrial growth in Ukraine. This is the opinion of the President of the Association of Enterprises "Ukrmetallurgprom" Alexander Kalenkov.
The bill was developed jointly with scrap collectors, which should allow to put things in order in the Ukrainian scrap metal market. This is one of 35 bills that Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman named among those that will increase industrial production in the country.
This legislative initiative will take away unnecessary powers from the lower level of officials who were engaged in outright extortion from scrap procurement. This will enable enterprises to legally procure raw materials, which can provide additional growth in steel production in Ukraine.
According to the expert, now the scrap market is overregulated, which creates opportunities for corruption, which distorts the market and leads to a drop in scrap collection in Ukraine. Bill # 7497 provides for some innovations that will increase budget revenues from scrap collection by 20 times.
The new bill should eliminate corruption in the Ukrainian scrap market
