A decrease in port dues in Ukraine to the values of neighboring countries will increase the export of products of the mining and metallurgical complex.
Only in the Mariupol Commercial Sea Port for vessels of the handsize class with a capacity of up to 21 thousand tons, the level of port dues exceeds the indicator for comparable foreign ports by 160-300%. This, in terms of 1 ton of cargo, is 1.8-2.1 dollars per ton.
The decrease in port dues will increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian products of MMC in foreign markets. At the same time, the cargoes of enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex account for about 45% of the total volume of transshipment in Ukrainian ports.
Also, it became necessary to provide for the presence of representatives of large shippers in the port councils, providing more than 3% of the total cargo turnover in the port.
