On the eve of the holidays, the General Director of PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" Paramzhit Kalon announced an increase in wages to employees. Information about this was announced on March 7 at the attendance report for the heads of the divisions of the plant.
At the moment, the company's specialists have already begun to equalize wages within one grade to ensure internal fairness of wages. In parallel with this, they are calculating the methodology for increasing wages. The focus will be on each profession with a priority on those categories of workers whose wages are lower. As soon as the internal revision of salaries is completed, the company management will inform about the principles of salary increases in 2018.
In any case, the increase in wages will be carried out taking into account the Ukrainian labor market, inflation, own production costs, production costs, price forecasts on the world metal markets and other factors that require analysis and an informed decision.
Annual salary revision is a regular practice of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC. This year, the revision of salaries will be carried out at the same time as last year.
Along with this, the company offers a significant social package to its employees. These are paid vacations, periods of temporary disability, medical insurance, treatment and recreation in the health centers of the enterprise and health resorts of Ukraine, material payments and benefits for both employees and veterans of the enterprise. In 2017, social expenses of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih amounted to UAH 340 million. In 2018, the company will allocate UAH 390 million for these purposes.
PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" remains one of the few mining and metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine, which consistently pays the 13th salary to its employees. In March 2018, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih will pay remuneration to its employees based on the results of the previous year.
Against this background, there has recently been an increased level of speculation on the topic of the salaries of the company's employees in social networks and the media. Representatives of political radical forces, in cooperation with small trade unions, once again call the workers of the plant to the next rallies.
PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" declares that it is interested in increasing the salaries of its employees. But it reminds us that the Ukrainian labor market today is in unequal competitive conditions, the level of salaries at which is significantly lower than in Eastern Europe.
