Industrial giant Voestalpine is building a € 350 million plant in Kapfenberg, southwest of Vienna, which is expected to be fully automated.
The construction work itself should take three years and create up to 1,000 jobs. Work within the plant itself will be digitized, which means more careful monitoring of equipment by a computer and less traditional work in front of blast furnaces.
