NPGU: "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" suspended work

On Wednesday, May 16, from 7 am at PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih", the workers of the first shift of the railway workshop began to act according to the instructions. This was reported in the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine with reference to the chairman of the local primary cell of NPGU Yuri Samoilov. According to the press service of the organization, the railway workers refused to work on faulty equipment and this actually paralyzed the work of the entire enterprise, since not a single locomotive moved from its place.

According to Samoilov, the requirement to ensure safe working conditions at the enterprise is one of the main requirements in the collective labor dispute with the employer, registered by the joint representative body of the primary branches of trade union organizations operating at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC.

“Since railway transport serves all production at PJSC, that is, it delivers raw materials and takes out finished products, as a result, both the open-hearth and converter shops have already stopped. And this can lead to catastrophic consequences, therefore the primary trade union organizations that operate at the enterprise urgently gather for a joint meeting and decide how to proceed further, "Yuri Samoilov explained.

Earlier it was reported that on May 4, representatives of the employer PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and the labor collective, despite the disagreements, agreed to create a conciliation commission to resolve the collective labor dispute, which was previously registered by the order of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
