Challenges in steel trade between China and the EU

China's commerce ministry said Thursday that a European Union anti-dumping investigation into the dumping of hot rolled steel imported from China would seriously disrupt regular steel trade between the two countries.

Brussels said earlier Thursday that it had launched an investigation after three EU manufacturers of steel products used in construction claimed that Chinese exports had increased significantly at artificially low prices.
