Iran's major producers reported a 30% increase in iron ore concentrate production in the first month of the current Iranian year from March 21, 2018.
But the country's exports of products are under the threat of US sanctions. At the same time, Trump's threat of sanctions against EU companies doing business with Iran is likely to be a factor prompting Macron to put pressure on Iran to accept the new terms of the deal with Iran. Last week, during a summit between the French president and Vladimir Putin, the Russian president appeared to support Macron's plan for an updated Iran deal.
The output of iron ore concentrate in Iran amounted to 3.88 million tons, according to the Iranian mining and mining industry (Imidro). The largest producer was Gol Goar with 1.55 million tonnes, followed by Chadormalu with 749,000 tonnes and Central Iron Ore Company with 461,000 tonnes.
Meanwhile, ore production at six large Iranian miners fell 27% in the first month of the Iranian year to 355,255 tons.
The Sangansky iron ore complex was the largest producer with 157,591 tons, followed by the Central iron ore with 94.8 thousand tons, the Iranian central plateau of iron ore plants with 63,569 tons and Chadormalu with 370,000 tons.
