Generally, uncertainty and sudden changes in conditions of this caliber are not conducive to a stable business.
Previously, the EU imposed customs duties on HRC sheet steel. Manufacturers from Russia and Ukraine, in which they faced these responsibilities, did not cross their arms, but began to process HRC sheets to obtain finished products and sell them in the EU.
The introduction of anti-dumping duties by the EU was a good move, but the operation has improved the situation for commodity producers, and steel mills and refineries are paying a high price. Unfortunately, this action does not protect all players in the market.
