The Kremlin said on Friday that it does not rule out that Russian President Vladimir Putin will once again talk with US President Donald Trump this year: in France on the anniversary of the end of World War I and at summits in Singapore and Argentina.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Russian newspaper Izvestia that Moscow is ready for such negotiations, but, as he put it, "everything depends on the attitude of the other side."
On November 11, France will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, to which the leaders of the countries taking part in it are invited.
The East Asia Summit will take place on November 11-15 in Singapore and the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires in early December.
The historic Trump-Putin summit took place in Helsinki on July 16.
After him, the US President said that he had invited Putin to the White House this fall. Later, however, his national security adviser John Bolton said Trump wanted his next meeting with Putin only in 2019 after investigating the Kremlin's interference in the American elections.
In late July, the Russian leader announced that he was ready to meet with Trump and invited him to visit Moscow. He pointed out that the meeting can only take place in appropriate circumstances.
