Results of production of MMC of Ukraine for 2018

There was an increase in production in December 2018 compared to November 2018. This is primarily due to the completion of capital and preventive maintenance of the main metallurgical equipment at a number of enterprises.

In December 2018, the following was produced:
1.83 million tons of pig iron, which is 12% more compared to November 2018;
1.83 million tonnes of steel, up 14% compared to November 2018;
1.52 million tonnes of rolled steel - (up 3%).

For 12 months 2018 produced by:
- iron ore concentrate - 60.32 million tons, which is 0.3% lower compared to the same period in 2017;
- agglomerate - 31.68 million tons (up 3%);
- pellets - 21.36 million tons (an increase of 6%);
- gross coke (an increase of 6%) - 10.83 million tons (an increase of 4%);
- pig iron - 20.56 million tons (an increase of 2%)
- steel - 21.1 million tons (an increase of 1%, respectively);
- rolled products - 18.36 million tons (an increase of 3%, respectively);
- pipe products - 1.1 million tons (an increase of 6%).

At the moment, of the main operating production facilities are in operation: 20 out of 21 blast furnaces, 8 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 15 out of 16 converters, 6 out of 15 electric furnaces and 15 out of 15 continuous casting machines.
