Ukraine's position in the world ranking of metallurgical production for 7 months of 2019

Steel Production
According to Worldsteel, for 7 months of 2019, world steel production is 1,083,950 thousand tons, which is 4.57% more than in January-July 2018 (1,036,610 thousand tons).

The leader here is also the People's Republic of China, melted 577.060 thousand tons, which is 9.01% more than the same period in 2018 (529.350 thousand tons). The PRC's share in world steel production is 53.2%.

Vietnam took the fourteenth place (12.050 million tons, or 157.1% compared to January-July 2018), displacing Mexico in the fifteenth position.

The positions of other leading countries have not changed.

Among 62 steel-producing countries, Ukraine, as before, occupies the thirteenth position (12,720 thousand tons, or 104.29% compared to January-July 2018).

Pig iron production
According to Worldsteel, for 7 months of 2019 metallurgical enterprises of the countries of the world produced 796.60 million tons of pig iron, of which 745,070,000 tons by the blast furnace method and 51,530 thousand tons by the direct reduction method. This is 3.92% higher than the same period in 2018 (766.530 thousand tons).

The first place, as always, belongs to the People's Republic of China, whose metallurgists produced 473,450,000 tons of pig iron in January-July 2019, which is 6.54% more than in 7 months of 2018. (443 570 thousand tons). The share of Chinese pig iron in world production in January-July 2019 is 59.4%.

The positions of other leading countries have not changed.

Ukraine is in 10th place among 40 countries that produce pig iron (11,890 thousand tons or 99.85% relative to 7 months of 2018).
