Ukraine produced about 10 million tonnes of steel in the first half of 2020, reducing production by 7.6% compared to the same period last year.
During the same period, Ukraine also produced 10 million tons of pig iron and 9 million tons of steel products, down 2.6% and 4.7% year on year, respectively.
In 2019, Ukraine produced about 21 million tons of steel, 20 million tons of pig iron and 18 million tons of metal products.
