The Ukrainian State Joint-Stock Company of Railway Transport Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced temporary restrictions on the transportation of iron and manganese ore to the Czech Republic. The restriction has been in effect since June 23, 2022, the date of its cancellation has not yet been determined.
The railway operator said it would ban the transport of iron ore from the Ukrainian border crossing Chop in the direction of the Trshinec railway station in the Czech Republic. The large metallurgical plant Třinecké Železárny is located in the town of Třinec.
