From January to May this year, Turkey exported 838,000 tons of welded steel pipes, up 120,000 tons from last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Exports totaled US$950 million, up 60% year on year.
Among them, exports to Romania were the largest at 110,000 tons, with a year-on-year growth of 32%; 100,000 tons were expected to go to the UK, down 3% year on year; 74,000 tons were shipped to Egypt compared to 5,500 tons in the same period last year.
In addition, it is worth noting that exports to the United States increased significantly by 4 times to 70,000 tons. Israel totaled 57,500 tons, up 25% from last year.
