According to a statement from the Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) dated August 22, 2022, Brazil initiated the fourth review of anti-dumping duties (AD) on imports of carbon steel seamless steel pipeline pipes from China and Romania based on an application filed by local steel pipe manufacturer Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes do Brasil SA April 21, 2022.
We are talking about seamless pipeline pipes made of carbon steel with a diameter of up to 5 inches (141.3 mm), which are mainly used in the construction of oil and gas pipelines for the transportation and storage of liquids, classified according to TN VED codes 7304.19.00, 7304.31.90, 7304.39.10 and 7304.39.90.
The investigation period is from January 2021 to December 2021, and the injury assessment period is from January 2017 to December 2021.
