According to the statement of the Russian association Spetsstal, in the first half of this year, 282,110 tons of stainless steel were consumed in Russia, which is 3.2% more than in the same period of 2021.
Apparent consumption of cold rolled flat products decreased by 5.8 percent, long products consumption by 10.6 percent, wire consumption by 45.7 percent and billet consumption by 27.4 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, during this period, the country's consumption of hot-rolled flat products increased by 57.1 percent, consumption of welded pipes increased by 10.6 percent, and consumption of seamless pipes by 2.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
