POSCO plans to export slabs to get rid of stocks due to flooding

According to potential buyers of POSCO, POSCO's trading department said it would sell high-quality slabs and open bulk orders from 40,000 to 50,000 tons.

POSCO said it is not yet sure how many slabs will be exported as the mill is still calculating losses. POSCO also asked the client to specify the tonnage, grade, delivery month and target price for the order.

As a result, the company is reported to have received a plethora of inquiries from buyers, including European blast-furnace steelmakers, which are suffering from high energy costs.
