According to statistics, pig iron production in Ukraine increased by 20.9% month-on-month to 335,000 tons in August 2022.
During this period, the output of finished steel products increased by 17.5% compared to the previous month to 248,000 tons, while steel production reached its maximum. level since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on February 24.
In the first eight months of this year, production of finished steel products in Ukraine fell by 65.5% year on year to 5.15 million tons, while pig iron production decreased by 64% year on year. per year up to 5.2 million tons.
