Vietnam's finished steel production stood at 2.44 million tonnes in September, up 23.41% mom and 1.7% year on year, according to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA). At the same time, sales of steel products amounted to 1.99 million tons, which, on a monthly basis and on an annualized basis, decreased by 7.19% and 9.9%, respectively.
In August, Vietnam's finished steel imports totaled 785,000 tons, down 13.65% from the previous month and down 8.94% year on year. In the first eight months, imports of finished steel amounted to about 8.18 million tons, down 7.97% year on year.
