Thyssenkrupp to supply environmentally friendly steel to Waelzholz GmbH

Thyssenkrupp, a German steelmaker, has announced that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Waelzholz GmbH to provide Waelzholz with bluemint® environmentally friendly steel from 2023

. From 2030, Waelzholz will increase the purchase of CO2-reduce steel step by step. The steel will be non-etched and pickled precision strips in the entire range and up to 720 mm wide.

Thyssenkrupp pointed out that the production of CO2-reduced steel could improve the situation for both companies.
