According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports totaled about 166,000 tons in October, down 43% from last year. The decline was mainly due to lower demand from the EU and the US.
Among them, exports to Italy amounted to about 27,000 tons, down 59% year on year. This is followed by Greece (about 21,000 tons), Bulgaria (19,000 tons) and Canada (about 11,000 tons).
