According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel production in November this year was about 139 million tons, down 2.6% from last year.
Among them, Asian crude steel production reached 101.4 million tons, an increase of 2.7% year on year, of which China's production amounted to 74.5 million tons, an increase of 7.3% year on year. Crude steel production in the EU-27 was 10.5 million tonnes, down almost 18% year on year.
Meanwhile, crude steel production in North America was 8.9 million tons, down 6.3% year on year; Production in South America was 3.4 million tonnes, down 14.3% year on year. Crude steel production in Africa fell 11.4% year on year to 1.3 million tons, while production in the Middle East rose 11.6% year on year to 4 million tons.
In the first 11 months of this year, global crude steel production fell 3.7% year on year to 1.69 billion tonnes.
