In mid-December, daily crude steel production at China's key smelters was about 1.96 million tonnes, down 1.15% from early December. At the same time, the daily output of pig iron and metal products slightly decreased by 0.58% to 17.73 million tons and increased by 0.95% to 1.92 million tons.
In addition, the stocks of metal products of key Chinese enterprises during the reporting period amounted to almost 16 million tons, an increase of 4.23% since the beginning of December and 17.83% year on year.
